The Snake in the Road

Out on a bike ride

So slithery he waits

I spot him under me

But wait, dear rider

No longer a predator

This foe is now dead

As Seen on my Last Pit Stop…

A tool of bondage.

Holds suspects.  Useful to cops.

But not a bike lock.

The box says it’s “free”!!

But on closer inspection

Why isn’t this trash?

Hello little friend

On shiny rain soaked road

Where did you come from?

On my April 25th run…

As I ran by this

I wasn’t sure what it was

Sit down, it’s a chair.
